Patrick E. Taylor, Jr. is a founding partner of the firm. He joined the California State Bar in 1984 after graduating from the University of San Francisco School of Law. He is a litigator and trial lawyer who has defended companies throughout California for 20 years. He has been a faculty member at University of California Hastings College of the Law, teaching less experienced lawyers the art of trial practice in the school's Trial Advocacy program. He was a contributing author of Miller & Starr, Current Law of California Real Estate (2nd ed.), for which he wrote portions of the chapters pertaining to the rights of adjoining landowners and mobile homes. Pat has authored publications and lectures on various topics including: An Update on California Law, Premises Liability, Indemnity Agreements, Billing Do's and Don'ts, Hot Topics: Plaintiff 's New Theories of Liability, Assumption of the Risk, Defending the Public Entity, and CoOperative Defense Agreements, among others. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, and various trade organizations.
